New Music

March 31st, 2008 by mancide

I posted a couple of new tracks on my myspace band page. The Hand That Feeds is a remix of the same Nine Inch Nails song. This is something I had been working on off and on since Trent Reznor released the master track in a format that allowed for people to play with the master tracks of the song. The second song is called muted and it is an original song by myself. Please check these out and leave me any feedback you see fit!

Graphical Proof Modern Music Sucks

September 4th, 2007 by mancide

Due to overcompression.

Even though you love this album, you can’t listen to it anymore. You shut it off, tired, puzzled, and confused. This always seems to happen when you switch from a classic album to a modern one. What you’ve just experienced is something called overcompression of the dynamic range. Welcome to the loudness war.

RJD2 - Work It Out

This has to be one of the coolest videos I’ve seen in a while.

P.O.S. is ruining my life

December 14th, 2006 by mancide

I never really liked P.O.S. that much when I first heard him. I actually liked him more with Doomtree more than solo. That has all changed with his latest album, and most importantly this song.

Atmosphere - 6/17/06

June 18th, 2006 by mancide

Pictures from last nights Atmosphere concert are up. Since it started raining before the concert I didn’t take the Digital Rebel XT in as I didn’t want to stand out in the rain with it. So I just snapped what I could with my s710a cameraphone. A few of them turned out good, the concert was great and I had a killer headache this morning so that means I had a good time.

Music / Life

June 8th, 2006 by mancide

Wow. I can’t beleive it’s been 6 months since I wrote something on this little corner of the web. I’ve not been off the net or anything, I’ve posted a few things on MySpace’s blog, and I actually redesigned the splash page, well if you could call it that. The celeb wallpaper section has become quite popular, pushing over 300gb of traffic last month. I should probably find some new pictures and refresh that section as well since it’s not been updated lately either.

Anyway, I’ve thrown up a eMusic link as I’ve recently joined and found a TON of music to try out.

Lastly, life seems to be going well. I’ve been able to spend time with someone I care very much about. We are going to see Flyleaf in a couple of weeks as well. I also get to see Atmosphere again. Maybe I’ll even get to see a few more concerts this summer as well.

Anyway, I’m out for another six months :)

John Reuben

November 1st, 2005 by mancide

Someone pointed me in the direction of John Reuben on MySpace. Pretty good rock/hip-hop fusion music with a spice of political activism thrown in. Also check out his official website JohnReuben.com.

Update: found his album [iTunes link] on iTunes Music Store and purchased it.

ScribbleJam 2005

August 14th, 2005 by mancide

ScribbleJam was fun. It was my first year going. I bought some pimp shirts from Methods NYC, bought some CDs from the Doomtree artists and got to talk to Sims for a bit. We also got to talk to Glue and were able to get some CDs autographed by all the members as well as take a few pictures. The DJ battle, however, was a sham. Skratch Bastid was robbed. I mean, really, someone call the cops he was mugged. He got “beat” in the semi-final round by a DJ who fucked up a couple of spots in his set. The judges also “deliberated” for over 10 minutes, but refused to allow one more round which would have lasted 4 minutes on the grounds of “it would upset the schedule”. I think this was just scripted and a screwjob directed at Bastid. I emailed him my opinions and offered my support of his set and a couple of hours later I got this reply from him:

Thanks tim,

i appreciate it, man.

It was poorly organized and the video will reflect how shitty
the DJ battle actually was. i had a great time last year and
this year’s battle was just plain wrong. I won’t let it get me
down, i just wish I could’ve done my new stuff!

I guess I’ll use it next year. Thanks for the support homie, and
I’ll be back with a vengance ;)

Bastid

I hope to attend next year, to support Skratch Bastid’s revenge on the screwjob.
